The story
Feast, at Hoefstadstraat 23a in Genk, Belgium, is a French small plates wine bar that Gault&Millau scored 13.5 in 2026. The room occupies the space that once housed Rosendal, and it keeps the building's bones: natural wood and polished concrete.
Donaat Barzeele runs the kitchen, and Guy Jeunhomme leads the front of house. A reviewer's visit found bread still warm from the oven, served with a herby, homemade béarnaise. Langoustine carpaccio arrived with a slight chili kick, and the steak tartare came with a parmesan cream sauce.
Miso eggplant, charred on the barbecue, was soft throughout. The sweet course was coconut and lemongrass ice cream with peach, honey and sesame.
Gault&Millau describes Feast as an intimate space for 26 guests, decorated in a minimalist Scandinavian style. Guests are invited to bring their own vinyl, which sets the soundtrack. When the weather is fine, the terrace has long farmhouse tables.
