The story
Couleur Rouge, at Gospertstraße 22 in Eupen, runs an Asian fusion kitchen that Gault&Millau rated 13.5 in 2026. The guide calls the fusion "a very successful one", with French classics that taste fresher and lighter for their Asian accents.
The menu reads as French gastronomy with a few well-chosen detours east. Ondenval trout is marinated and served with sweet-sour white cabbage and wild garlic pesto. Duck foie gras comes with Japanese whisky and onion jam. Maigre fillet sits beside a cauliflower gratin and miso sauce. Gault&Millau singled out a crispy pan-fried veal escalope with eryngii mushrooms as especially well balanced.
Guests can choose three courses (55 €) or four (65 €), each with an optional wine selection. A six-course surprise menu costs 95 €. Mains include duck breast with braised chicory and orange-honey sauce, or Iberico pork fillet with a Vietnamese pepper cream. Desserts run from a yoghurt-mango bavarois to a trolley of Belgian raw-milk cheeses.
The same address houses a small gourmet shop selling wines, Japanese whisky and a counter of Belgian raw-milk cheese. The restaurant also has outdoor seating. Michelin lists Couleur Rouge as Recommended for 2026.
