The story
RectoVerso is a French restaurant at Avenue de Namur 29 in Ciney, where Thomas Serbeniuk and Robin Van Habost cook a monthly menu from local produce. Gault&Millau rated it 14 in 2026.
Robin Van Habost sharpened his technique in Nice, in the south of France. Thomas Serbeniuk comes from Hainaut and spent time at La Tour d'Argent in Paris. Gault&Millau notes that the two now set the direction of the house on their own, and describes a creative, coherent menu in which local products come through clearly. The Michelin Guide lists RectoVerso as Recommended for 2026.
The monthly menu comes in three formats: Tendance at 52 €, Balade at 62 € and Découverte at 84 €. Each can be paired with a glass of wine per course, chosen with the sommeliers of La cave des Sommeliers. Recent dishes include vitello tonnato with burnt-lemon gel and a mint-pea cream, and red mullet with smoked herring roe and a chorizo sauce. Iberian pluma comes with broad beans and roasted apricots. For dessert there is a pavlova made with strawberries from Ferme Piette, yuzu gel and Timut pepper. Weekday lunch is a two-course menu at 35 €.
A full floor can be privatised for seminars and meetings, with the same kitchen cooking for the group.
