The story
Ferme des 4 Saisons, in Chimay, Belgium, serves Modern French cooking at Rue de Scourmont 8B in Bourlers. The Michelin Bib Gourmand (2026) recognises its good-quality, good-value cooking.
Chef Mathieu Franck works with quality produce, and Gault&Millau's 2026 entry highlights homemade foie gras, veal sweetbreads and fish. The guide also points to original pairings alongside the classics. The menu runs from fish to beef to lobster, offered as a set menu or à la carte.
In 2015 the parents handed the restaurant to the next generation, with Caty in the dining room and Franck in the kitchen. The room was renovated in authentic colours and materials. The family also rents a gîte for four to eight guests near the Trappist abbey in Chimay.
