The story
Le Saint Boniface, at rue Saint-Boniface 9 in Ixelles, Brussels, serves French bistro cooking in the style of a Lyonnais bouchon, and earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand for good-quality, good-value cooking in 2026.
Chef Vincent comes from the Périgord Noir, and his cooking draws on Lyonnais and Périgourdine traditions along with the dishes of his grandmother. Foie gras, cassoulet, pig's trotters, dry sausages, duck and veal sweetbreads are all part of his repertoire. Weekday lunch brings a daily dish built around the season and whatever fresh produce he has sourced that day.
Front of house is run by Ana, who keeps the room warm in the manner of traditional Lyonnais bouchons. The wine list leans on Beaujolais, Burgundy and Bordeaux, with a broad selection of natural wines she chose herself. Gault&Millau gave the restaurant 12 points in 2026, describing checkered tablecloths, a cozy atmosphere and generously served, heartwarming dishes.
