The story
Le Coriandre sits at rue Middelbourg 21 in Watermael-Boitsfort, Brussels, where Damien and Agnès run a modern cuisine restaurant near the Forêt de Soignes. Michelin lists it as Recommended for 2026, and Gault&Millau awarded it 14.5 the same year.
Damien Vanderhoeven and his team make the bread, petits fours, ice creams and desserts in-house. Foie gras, lobster, Breton langoustines, Simmental beef and squab are reworked with a modern, inventive hand. Gault&Millau describes his style as personal and subtly touched by Asia, without much showmanship.
Recent menu pages list scallop with ponzu, hamachi, lobster with burnt orange, Aberdeen Angus onglet with hazelnut and miso, and peach with umeboshi plum. Tasting menus run four, five or six courses, and a shorter lunch service is offered at midday. The dishes change with the season, so the printed menu may differ from one visit to the next.
Agnès pours wines from the Languedoc, the Rhône, Burgundy and Bordeaux at fair prices, with a by-the-glass selection chosen to match the menus. When the weather turns warm, the terrace opens for outdoor meals. A reviewer praised the attention paid to food intolerances and the warmth of the hosts.
