The story
Resto Cinq is a modern French restaurant at route de Lennik 361 in Anderlecht, Brussels, listed as Michelin Recommended in 2026. Chef Jean-Michel Verzele cooks here with a seasonal eye and a stated aim of keeping the food affordable, inventive and pure.
Verzele continues the life's work of his father, Michel, in a new location and with fresh energy. His own story began in Anderlecht, in the family home where his parents ran the restaurant Le Florence. The kitchen's approach is refined dishes shaped by the seasons, served in a relaxed room.
The à la carte menu opens with Gillardeau oysters, Flemish-style asparagus and prawn croquettes. Mains include sole fillets with white and green asparagus, rack of lamb with rosemary sauce, and a half lobster with pappardelle. A côte à l'os of Belgian Blue is served for two. Desserts run from a Dame Blanche with house-made vanilla ice cream to tiramisu with red fruit. A lobster menu is also on offer, and the weekday lunch menu follows the market, at two or three courses.
Vegetarian alternatives are available, and the kitchen will adapt a menu for allergies if told at the time of booking. The CINQ+ room takes groups, and the restaurant carries a 1 Radish rating in the We're Smart Green Guide for 2026.
