The story
Pazzo is an Italian and modern French restaurant at Oudeleeuwenrui 12 in Antwerp, rated 13.5 in the 2026 Gault&Millau guide. It runs as a lively bistro with a wine bar attached.
Italian pasta and risotto sit beside French bistro classics here. Linguine alle vongole and risotto nero with squid and piquillo pepper share the page with Burgundy snails in garlic and parsley cream, and duck à l'orange with Pommes Dauphine. Gault&Millau notes a chef who takes classic flavours and gives them a contemporary turn. The Michelin Guide also lists Pazzo as recommended for 2026.
A whole section of the menu is given to truffle. It includes tagliatelle al tartufo and a Holstein beef fillet Rossini with Madeira jus and Pont-Neuf fries. Geay oysters come natural, with Aperol, or Bali style. Goudmerk mussels from Zeeland are served marinara. For dessert, Hoogstraten strawberries are marinated in Elixir d'Anvers and served with galangal sorbet and chili.
Wine has its own place in the house. The list names producers such as Gaja, Conterno, Roagna, Bollinger and Georg Breuer, among many others. The team advises at the table or in the wine bar. Gault&Millau singles out a list that keeps surprising.
