The story
Osaka, at Bollandusstraat 15-17 in Antwerp, pairs a wine bar with Asian-inspired small plates, and Le Fooding listed it in 2026. It works as both a bar and an informal restaurant, with a large selection of natural wines by the bottle.
Kirsten Sprokkelenburg leads the kitchen, and she also runs Camino. Her Asian influences set the direction of a seasonal menu built for sharing. In Le Fooding's review, the spicy pork, shrimp and ginger dim sum hit the mark. Hand-cut steak tartare sat on small pieces of toasted bread, though the aioli was a little heavy-handed. The meal ended with a cherry-stuffed cream puff in vanilla cream sauce.
From the street, the storefront looks ordinary. Inside, the decor is ultra-minimal, built from stainless steel, concrete, wood and neon. The look is more city than corner bistro, which suits a place that serves wine as seriously as food.
