The story
Nathan is a modern French restaurant at Lange Koepoortstraat 13 in Antwerpen, where chef Nathan Van Echelpoel holds one Michelin star (2026). The cooking follows a Franco-Belgian line with subtle Asian touches, built around seasonal produce.
Van Echelpoel aims for a balance between perfection and simplicity, working with seasonal products of the highest quality. Gault&Millau awarded the restaurant 15.5 in 2026 and describes a personal signature in which Asian notes appear in elegant, recognisable dishes. His partner Eva Van de Peer keeps the guest experience at the centre of the evening.
Tasting menus run to four courses at €115, five at €135 and six at €170. Friday and Saturday evenings serve only the six-course menu. The sommelier can pair each course with wine, with an alcohol-free juice made in house, or choose from the wine book. Flag any allergies when you reserve so the menu can be adjusted.
