The story
Komaf is a French kitchen at Schranshoevebaan 35 in Wommelgem, Antwerpen, and Gault&Millau scored it 15.5 points in 2026. The restaurant occupies a restored 17th-century farmhouse, the Schranshoeve, beside a moated courtyard.
Anthony Stoop and Julie Van Gool run the restaurant as partners. Stoop trained at De Pastorale and The Jane, then led the kitchen at Restaurant Likoké in Les Vans, France. The menu changes every three months with the season, and Stoop finishes dishes in the open kitchen.
The current menu includes wild sea bass with rhubarb and shiso, and a Danish langoustine with champagne and caviar. Courses run four, five or seven. Julie Van Gool hosts the room, and private dining can seat up to 14 guests at one table.
