The story
Chef's Table is a modern restaurant in Antwerpen, at Kaaiplein 1 in Burcht, Belgium, where Gault&Millau awarded 12.5 points in 2026. The modern kitchen builds its plates around produce from the restaurant's own garden.
Chef Dimitri Van Berlo cooks with vegetables, herbs and flowers grown in his garden, combined with top-quality ingredients. His ravioli with secreto ham and seared scallop is brightened by a clear asparagus consommé, a contrast the guide singled out.
Zeeland mussels appear on the menu in several preparations, served with fries cut from potatoes grown on site and fresh mayonnaise. Guests can eat on the terrace in fine weather or inside the air-conditioned dining room. Cameras in the kitchen show the cooking on screens throughout the restaurant.
