The story
The Terrace is a modern British restaurant in Lymington, at Quay Street, Yarmouth, PO41 0PB on the Isle of Wight, and it holds two AA Rosettes for 2026. The harbourside kitchen serves seafood-led dishes and is open through the year, a rarity for the western side of the island.
The menu changes regularly and leans towards seafood. The Good Food Guide cites pickled Cornish mackerel with apple dashi and artichoke purée, and monkfish with tikka-roasted cauliflower, saag aloo and a coconut and tomato sauce. Those dishes show how Indian spicing sits alongside British produce on the same plate.
Co-owner Tom Fahey, one of Harper's Top 20 UK Sommeliers, manages the wine list. The Good Food Guide describes it as carefully selected, well annotated and keenly priced. The sun-trap terrace looks out over the Solent, and the team is often praised for being cheerful, welcoming and enthusiastic.
