The story
Stravaigin, at 28 Gibson Street in Glasgow, is a Scottish kitchen with an international streak, and it holds a 2026 AA Rosette for culinary excellence alongside a 2026 Michelin Recommended listing. The kitchen works from a sourcing philosophy of sustainable produce, both global and local.
The house motto is "Think Global, Eat Local," and the menus pair Shetland mussels, Perthshire venison, Fife pigeon and Inchinnan asparagus with ingredients from further afield. Dishes are designed for sharing. Food is served seven days a week in the Café Bar, the Mezzanine and The Cellar until late, with à la carte, Sunday Clan and dessert menus to choose from.
The Café Bar has been a local fixture for over twenty five years and welcomes dogs alongside diners. Experimental, worldly food sits beside traditional Scottish measures at the bar. The Cellar hosts private hire for up to 46 guests and regular Cellar Sessions with themed menus and drinks on arrival. The events calendar also includes weekly Stravaigin Sessions, open trad nights and an annual Burns Supper.
