The story
Löwen - Gaststube, at Wolfhauserstrasse 2 in Rapperswil, serves a Mediterranean and seasonal kitchen and holds one Michelin star (2026). The restaurant belongs to the Gasthof Löwen, where the gaststube runs market-fresh cooking alongside the gourmet restaurant Apriori.
Domenico Miggiano-Köferli, who grew up in southern Italy, leads the kitchen. He trained as a cook in Germany before completing further training in Switzerland. Rita Miggiano-Köferli, a sommelier, looks after the wine list and the guests in the dining room.
Gault&Millau gave the house 16 points for 2026, and its review singled out a carpaccio of smoked veal fillet with truffle and yuzu mayonnaise. The bison pavé, served with celeriac purée and a jus with a faint peppery bite from cubeb, is another dish the guide praised. In summer, guests can also eat on the terrace.
