The story
Felix Lo Basso Restaurant, at Via Fomelino 10 in Lugano, holds one Michelin star in the 2026 guide, which cites high quality cooking. The kitchen is contemporary Italian with Mediterranean leanings, and the house runs two separate formats under one roof.
The first format puts guests close to the stove. Chef Felice Lo Basso removes the distance between cook and diner, talking with the table while he prepares and presents a surprise tasting menu that keeps changing. Dinner is a single seating at 7:30 pm, Wednesday to Saturday. Friday and Saturday lunch has one seating at 12:30 with a lighter menu that condenses the evening format.
The second format is a traditional Italian kitchen cooking from an à la carte menu. The restaurant describes generous portions and flavors that stay refined. It serves lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday, with lunch from noon to 2:00 pm and dinner from 7:00 to 9:30 pm.
Emiliana Ferraroni and Felice Lo Basso founded their company in Milan in 2016, and their Milan and Trani restaurants earned Michelin stars. The Lugano opening, in the Sorengo area, brings that experience to Emiliana's home region. The restaurant also holds two Radishes from the We're Smart Green Guide (2026).
