The story
Delicja is a French-influenced restaurant at Pl. Wolności 5 in Poznań, listed as Michelin Recommended in 2026. The restaurant dates to 1981, when it first opened in Oborniki near Poznań.
Chef Agnieszka Witaszak-Wawrzyniak runs the kitchen. The restaurant describes her as the first woman in Poland recognized by the Michelin Guide. The cooking blends Polish tradition with French and Mediterranean ideas, and Gault&Millau scored it 13 in 2026.
The tasting menu begins with an amuse bouche and bread with butter. Next come fig with smoked goat cheese and pine nuts, then scallop with orange, vanilla and hazelnut. Duck breast with beet, celery and Poznań szagówki follows. The à la carte list adds beef tenderloin with béarnaise espuma and potato fondant, and foie gras with blackcurrant and Sauternes sauce. A separate vegetarian tasting menu includes ravioli with ricotta and chanterelles. Sommelier pairings come in five- or seven-glass versions.
The dining room is classic and old-world, with soft carpets, white tablecloths, fresh flowers and candlesticks. Service is attentive and music stays in the background. In warm months, guests can sit on the Plane Tree Patio. Live concerts and culinary theatre evenings also take place here from time to time.
