The story
Meister Lampe at Solitudestraße 261 in Stuttgart is a country cooking restaurant with a modern edge, and the Schlemmer Atlas awarded it 3 Kochlöffel for 2026. The restaurant sits in the Weilimdorf district and pairs classic cuisine with international dishes.
Daniel Stübler opened Meister Lampe in 2012. He trained as a cook, holds a state certification as a restaurateur, and has worked as sous chef and head chef, as well as in pastry at well-known restaurants and hotels around Stuttgart. He converted the former Gasthaus Hasen into a modern restaurant that stays close to tradition and the region. Michelin lists the restaurant as Recommended for 2026.
The Schlemmer Atlas singles out preparations built around Iberico, tuna and farm duck, each given a refined treatment. The menu changes with the seasons and mixes Swabian home cooking with international plates. Guests describe the food as fresh and precisely judged, with each dish landing as intended.
The dining room has space for private celebrations of up to 53 guests, from weddings and christenings to birthdays, and the kitchen can assemble a custom menu for a group. Outdoor seating is also available. The wine list draws on estates from Baden, the Pfalz and Württemberg, with a Champagne selection and several magnum bottles. Reviewers often mention the service, and many note that the chef himself checks in with guests.
