The story
nagare is a Japanese restaurant at Feuerbacher-Tal-Straße 34 in Stuttgart, on the edge of the Feuerbach district. It holds a Michelin Recommended (2026) listing, and the small family kitchen works in a clearly personal Japanese style.
Chef Shinichi Nakagawa draws on the traditions of Japan and reinterprets them alongside European cooking. The set menus follow the seasons and rely on carefully chosen natural ingredients. Schlemmer Atlas awards the restaurant three Kochlöffel for its Far Eastern-European fusion, served as three set menus or à la carte.
Dishes arrive on handmade pottery, and the evening list is longer than the set menus alone. Wine and traditional sake pairings can be matched to each course. Occasionally a live piano accompanies the evening. Sushi boxes are also sold for takeaway, with 10% off à la carte sushi to go.
