The story
Laesâ is a French restaurant at Wilhelmsplatz 6 in Stuttgart's old town, and Der Feinschmecker gave it a 3 in its 2026 guide. The modern French menu is built around regional produce, with a view into the open kitchen.
The meal often begins with foie gras, paired with Gaishirtle pears and Alb lentils. Scallops arrive in the shell with hedgehog mushroom and Mornay sauce. House-baked wheat sourdough comes to the table warm, served with salted butter. The Mieral pigeon is served with black cabbage and Fregola, and a free-range egg with M25 caviar can be added for €35.
The room sits in the former Murrhardter Hof inn, where a long communal table gives the space a lounge-like feel. Sommelier Nikolas Reidt curates the wine list, which draws on Germany, Burgundy and Bordeaux. Schlemmer Atlas lists 600 wine selections and awarded the restaurant 3.5 Kochlöffel in 2026.
