The story
Cube sits on the top floor of the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart at Kleiner Schlossplatz 1, where its modern cuisine has earned a Michelin recommendation for 2026. The restaurant is an international kitchen with a clear view of the city, and the Schlemmer Atlas awards it 2,5 Kochlöffel for 2026.
The kitchen calls its dinner cooking "inspired," a term the restaurant uses for its contemporary approach. Ingredients are chosen for quality and, where possible, come from the region. Mediterranean and Asian influences meet fresh readings of traditional dishes. Lunch is lighter and changes often, with regional and international ideas for quick midday meals.
Glass surrounds the dining room on all sides, so the view over Stuttgart's city center does most of the work. The interior, designed by Heinz Witthöft, stays understated. Groups can be seated at long or round tables for events, with space for up to 150 guests.
Afternoon coffee comes with cakes baked every day, including cheesecake, raspberry gateau and apple pie. The kitchen stays open until 22:30, and later with advance booking, which suits a visit after the theatre or a concert.
