The story
5 in Stuttgart serves modern international cooking at Bolzstraße 8, in the rooms of the city's first railway station. The restaurant holds one Michelin star (2026), earned by a kitchen that works across very different culinary traditions on one menu.
Alexander Dinter leads the kitchen and the Radikosmos menu, which the house presents as world cuisine. The menu runs four to seven courses, and a vegetarian version follows the same structure. Guests who are vegetarian, allergic or have other restrictions should say so at least two days ahead, since the kitchen adapts dishes but cannot promise full allergen separation.
Dim Sum à la 5 combines veal, swimming crab, blood orange, artichoke and truffle kimizu. Cauliflower 5.0 comes with purple curry, macadamia, buttermilk and quinoa. Balfegó tuna belly, or otoro, is paired with caviar, shallot, cornichons and ponzu. The rhubarb dessert, Süße Poesie, sets dulce de lecho against rhubarb in texture and Greek yoghurt.
The fine dining room sits on the upper floor, with a bar on the ground floor. Schlemmer Atlas awarded it 3,5 Kochlöffel (2026), describing soft lighting, cozy armchairs and old steel beams from the industrial era. The wine list includes bottles from South Africa and China, and the kitchen offers a wine pairing alongside the menu.
