The story
Kaiserblick is a French restaurant at Dünenstr. 47 in Seebad Heringsdorf, Germany, and Schlemmer Atlas gave it three Kochlöffel in 2026. The French kitchen works with classic dishes, served in a room that faces the promenade.
Chef Maik Gehrke cooks without trends or stage effects. Lobster à la Thermidor is gratinated in its own shell and served with young spinach, sugar snap peas and a nage. Tournedos Rossini comes with duck liver, Savoyard potatoes and black truffle jus. Crêpe Suzette is flambéed at the table.
Five tables are laid in white, with cream upholstered chairs, green and white striped fabric and brass chandeliers that recall the Empire period. The menu runs four or five courses. Sommelier and host Andreas Tornow pairs it with mature wines from leading German and French estates.
