The story

Restaurant Miesberg in Schwandorf: Swabian Home Cooking, 1,5 Kochlöffel

Restaurant Miesberg serves Swabian and Bavarian home cooking at Klosterstr. 4, 92521 Schwarzenfeld, in the Schwandorf area of Bayern. The Schlemmer Atlas awarded it 1,5 Kochlöffel in 2026 for regionally inspired dishes built on old family recipes.

Family recipes, regional produce

Owners Markus Neudert and Franziska Wilfahrt draw on their Upper Palatinate and Swabian Alb roots. The menu mixes classic dishes with newer ideas, and the restaurant says it cooks with regional products only. The menu changes about every five to six weeks, so the dishes on the table depend on the season.

Room and table

The main dining room seats 40, a second room seats 50, and a hall with a stage holds up to 450 guests. House-made Swabian Spätzle, slow-cooked beef and a crème brûlée flambéed on site show how the kitchen works between the traditional and the modern.
