The story
Villa's Wine & Dine sits at Moselstrasse 5 D in Reil, Germany, where a contemporary French kitchen cooks on the banks of the Moselle. The Schlemmer Atlas awarded the restaurant three Kochlöffel in 2026, and it is listed in the Michelin Guide as Recommended the same year.
Alessandro Riemer and Dirk Melsheimer lead the kitchen with their brigade. The menu is fine and modern, built on classical foundations, and it pairs first-class ingredients with layered flavour combinations. Dishes are cooked fresh, so guests are asked to order the menu together, and gourmet menu orders close at 18:30. The kitchen also draws on produce from the surrounding forests, rivers and farms.
The restaurant is made up of three connected rooms, all facing the river. The sun-filled conservatory looks across the Moselle to the vineyards on the opposite slope, and boats pass below. In warm weather, the panorama terrace sits directly on the riverbank, a quiet place to watch winegrowers at work while drinking Moselle wines.
The fireplace room is cosy, and it suits a longer evening over a glass of wine. The sunny courtyard, with its stone garden, pond and century-old cherry tree, is set up for intimate celebrations.
