The story
KMH World, at Hasengasse 5-7 in Frankfurt am Main, runs a Mediterranean bistro kitchen beside the Kleinmarkthalle and holds two Kochlöffel in the Schlemmer Atlas 2026. The menu draws its classics from market ingredients, and the room works equally well for a casual lunch or a long dinner.
The oyster list is the clearest statement of intent. Four varieties are offered, from the fresh, mineral Céline N°3, aged two years and sourced from Cancale, to the Ostra Régal N°3, which rests 18 months on the Atlantic coast at Clew Bay before its final stretch in Bannow Bay. The Sentinelle N°3 moves from salt to sweet, with notes of seaweed and cucumber.
Shared plates lean Mediterranean. Burrata comes on pane carasau with zucchini and anchovy olive tapenade, and a tuna tostada arrives with chipotle aioli, pico de gallo and avocado. Mains include a whole fried sea bass with ginger and peanut, and a beef short rib in rendang sauce. The Schlemmer Atlas describes a casual lunch with lobster soup and hamachi, and beef bourguignon for dinner.
The guide notes several distinct areas, a cooking school and a wine shop, along with a concept store and a private dining space in a former bicycle workshop. Tuesday evenings bring live music and shared snacks with drinks at the bar, a quieter way to end the week's first night out.
