The story
LIMA is at Schulstr. 9 in Aschau im Chiemgau, a café and restaurant with a French-inspired kitchen. The Schlemmer Atlas awarded it 2 Kochlöffel in 2026, citing light meals, bowls, coffee and cake alongside à la carte dishes and set menus. The entry names Nina, Ufuk and Christian as the people running the house.
Christian Amtmann, a chef from Franconia, cooks in a grounded yet modern style. The dishes start from French cooking and carry his own ideas. Seasonal produce, ideally from the region, shapes the menu, and plating is colourful by design.
The coffee comes from the Dinzler Rösterei, selected so that each cup feels like a treat. The wine list is chosen to suit the dishes through the year, with the aim of a balance between food and glass.
The owners describe the space as a place to step away from the stress of everyday life and linger. Guests can come for a coffee and cake or settle in for a full meal.
