The story
Coast, at 1 Bluff Avenue in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, is an American restaurant in Westerly that earned Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star recognition for 2026. The restaurant sits inside Ocean House and serves a seasonal American menu built around nearby farms.
The kitchen buys from local farms, so the menu changes with the season and sometimes with that day's harvest. Diners can choose a three-, four-, or five-course tasting menu, with optional wine pairings for each course. Once a month, a Farm and Vine dinner brings in a leading culinary figure from the region for a four-course meal, and a guest sommelier pours a matching wine with each plate.
Nearly every seat in the dining room faces the Atlantic, so the view changes from long summer sunsets to the glare of morning light.
