The story
Fiola Mare, at 3100 K St NW in Washington, is a waterfront Italian seafood restaurant on the Georgetown Waterfront and was listed as Michelin Recommended in 2026. The kitchen draws on Fabio Trabocchi's Mediterranean roots, from his native Monte Conero coast to the Amalfi Coast and Sicily.
The menu centers on crudos, seafood towers and handmade pasta. The signature Carrello del Pesce is a table side seafood cart that presents the daily catch from Italy and other coasts. Salads and a seasonal list of coastal Italian dishes round out the seafood selection.
The waterfront setting suits the restaurant's reputation for power lunches and a see-and-be-seen crowd. Its wine list earned a Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence in 2015, and cocktails accompany the meals. Private dining is available for business and social events. At dinner, hats, shorts, beachwear and flip-flops are not permitted.
