The story
Il Mulino New York sits at 17875 Collin Ave in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, where its Italian kitchen earned a Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star rating for 2026. This Miami flagship of the New York original pairs southern Italian cooking with a dining room that faces the Atlantic.
The menu draws on the Amalfi Coast and Naples, the birthplace of executive chef Michele Mazza. About 90 percent of the ingredients are imported from Italy. Soup stocks and fresh pasta are made every morning, so the kitchen starts each service with its own base.
Mahogany paneling defines the room, and floor-to-ceiling windows look out over the ocean. Compared with the more rustic Manhattan original, the Miami space feels polished and open. The wine list is extensive, and Wine Spectator gave it an Award of Excellence in 2025. A table captain suggests a pairing for each course, which helps when the list feels overwhelming.
