The story
Valle, at 222 N. Pacific St. in Oceanside, California, earned one Michelin star in 2026 for its contemporary Mexican kitchen. The oceanfront dining room looks toward the Oceanside Pier, and the tasting menus draw on California produce and flavors from Baja.
Executive chef Roberto Alcocer builds the seasonal tasting menu around charcoal oven and wood-fire cooking. Trucha tom kha pairs Ensenada steelhead trout with local kiwi. Mole blanco arrives with spring vegetables, almonds and sesame.
The Valle Bar serves handcrafted cocktails such as the Milpa and Fogata, and its wine list features producers from Baja California and Northern Mexico. The restaurant also received a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence in 2023.
