The story
Piccola Cucina Estiatorio sits at 75 Thompson St in New York City, serving Italian food with a Sicilian accent. Wine Spectator gave the restaurant its Best of Award of Excellence in 2024, and the Italian kitchen draws its character from the island.
Chef Philip Guardione brings the Etna fish market of Catania to this venue, the third in the group, opened in the heart of the Village near Soho. The name Estiatorio refers to elegant Greek tavernas, while the room draws on Sicily.
Fresh fish is displayed so guests can pick their own, a direct nod to the Etna market. The Gambero Rosso guide awarded the restaurant two forks in 2026.
