The story
Dagon is a modern Israeli restaurant at 2454 Broadway in New York City, and its wine list earned a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence in 2021. The menu draws on Levantine cooking, with Mediterranean flavors running through its small plates, flatbreads and charcoal skewers.
Executive Chef Ari Bokovza grew up in Israel, where his Tunisian grandmother introduced him to new foods and spices. That heritage shapes a menu built on the cooking of the Levant, the Middle East and North Africa. Shishbarak arrives as Lebanese mushroom dumplings with warm yogurt, pine nuts and a spicy herb sauce. Michelin listed the restaurant as Recommended in 2026.
Beverage Director Aviram Turgeman builds the cocktail list around Mediterranean fruit, herbs and spices, with classic drinks given a creative twist. The wine list includes a selection of kosher bottles.
