The story
Pèppoli sits at 2700 17 Mile Dr. in Pebble Beach (Monterey), a Northern Italian restaurant listed as Recommended by Michelin in 2026. Its Tuscan-style cooking has been paired with Antinori wines for 25 years.
The name comes from one of the wine estates of Marchese Piero Antinori. Pèppoli pours the widest selection of Antinori wines outside Tuscany, and the staff are all certified sommeliers. Wine Spectator gave the list its Best of Award of Excellence in 2008.
The menu runs through Lasagna Tradizionale, Pappardelle Bolognese and Osso Buco all'Antinori. The signature is a Tuscan T-bone for two, carved tableside and finished with olive oil. Much of the cooking happens in an exhibition kitchen built around a wood-fired grill. Chef de Cuisine Angela Tamura travels to Italy every couple of years and brings pasta-making techniques back with her.
The décor is meant to recall a Tuscan villa, with the scent of Italian herbs in the air. A private dining option is available for groups.
