Kato is a contemporary Asian restaurant in Los Angeles, at 777 Alameda St., #114, inside The Row. The kitchen earned one Michelin star in 2026 for high quality cooking, and the dining room and bar both run on tasting menus.

Cooking and the tasting menu

The dining room tasting menu follows the season and focuses on innovation. A separate bar tasting menu presents a collection of classic Kato dishes, served alongside snacks and drinks at the bar.

Wine and drinks

Wine Spectator gave the wine program its Best of Award of Excellence in 2023. A traditional flight pairs a selection of wines from the world's best regions with each course, while a vintage flight leans toward rarity and age. Guests who skip alcohol can order an alcohol-free flight of drinks built by the bar team.
