The story
Genting Palace serves Chinese cuisine at 3000 South Las Vegas Boulevard, Las Vegas, Nevada 89109, and holds a Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star rating (2026). The restaurant sits inside Resorts World Las Vegas and is known for dim sum, Peking duck and a lounge with bold, playful décor.
Executive Chef Billy Cheng leads the kitchen with more than 40 years of cooking experience. He grew up in Guangdong, China, where his father's love of cooking first drew him in. His path took him through Hong Kong, Taiwan, Canada and the United States before he joined the Las Vegas Strip at Moongate at The Mirage in 1999. From 2011 to 2021 he was Executive Chef of Jasmine at Bellagio.
The dim sum arrives in striking shapes. Black truffle dumplings filled with lobster, scallops and shrimp look like orange-tinged boats, while the shrimp dumplings wear pink wrappers with half a quail egg on top. The Peking duck is carved tableside from a trolley and served with hoisin sauce, crepes, cucumber and scallions. The XO shrimp comes in a yam basket with asparagus, carrot, shiitake mushrooms and spicy shrimp.
Past a turquoise moongate, Genting Palace Lounge mixes patterns and saturated colors. A bartop light shaped like a gold monkey in a lampshade skirt hangs over the bar. The Cherry Blossom is a pink drink made with Roku gin, Chareau aloe liqueur, dragonfruit, ginger cordial, lime and a floating orchid. The private dining room, which hangs Andy Warhol silkscreen paintings of Chairman Mao Zedong, suits larger groups or a quieter table.
