The story
Navio is the contemporary restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay, located at 1 Miramontes Point Road in Half Moon Bay, California. The seasonal menus lean on seafood and Northern California produce, and Forbes Travel Guide awarded the restaurant Four-Star for 2026.
Chef de Cuisine Xisco Simón leads the kitchen, which sources ingredients with a focus on sustainability and provenance. The cooking follows an ocean-to-table approach, with shellfish and fish taking center stage. Diners can choose a three-course prix fixe dinner or a seven-course Chef's Tasting Menu in the evening.
Dungeness crab comes with Granny Smith apple, tomalley emulsion and sourdough toast. The wagyu beef slider is layered with jalapeño bacon jam, cheddar and black truffle aioli, while the lobster roll is finished with beurre blanc and trout roe. Lamb rack and beef tenderloin with port wine reduction anchor the main courses. The weekend brunch is a two-hour à la carte service that draws on seafood, prime cuts, farmer's market salads and seasonal brunch classics.
Nautical touches and ocean views frame the dining room, and the dress code is smart casual. The wine list highlights Santa Cruz Mountains producers alongside global bottles, and Wine Spectator gave it a Best of Award of Excellence in 2024. Private dining rooms are available for groups.
