Andrea Calstier cooks seasonally, a style formed in French Michelin-starred kitchens, including Restaurant Christophe Bacquie in Le Castellet and Daniel in New York under Daniel Boulud. His wife, Elena Oliver, is general manager. Together they previously opened Papilles in Manhattan. They describe La Bastide as an expression of Provence and the lifestyle of French southerners.
The wine list is one reason to book dinner here, and Wine Spectator gave it a Best of Award of Excellence in 2024. The couple's other restaurant, Cenadou Bistrot, shares the same address, so the property offers two French tables under one roof.
