The story
RPM Steak serves contemporary steakhouse cooking at 66 W. Kinzie St. in Chicago's River North neighborhood, and the Michelin Guide listed it as Recommended in 2026. It belongs to RPM, a restaurant group founded by Bill and Giuliana Rancic and the Melman siblings of Lettuce Entertain You.
Christopher Gawronski has led the kitchen since 2021, first at RPM Italian and now at RPM Steak. Executive Chef Partner Bob Broskey oversees chef teams across the RPM concepts, this restaurant included.
The beef program is where the sourcing shows most clearly. The menu draws on a Japanese Wagyu program that includes Sendai Beef from Kawaguchi Farm in Miyagi, where the Sendai Wagyu reaches an 80% 10+ BMS score. Westholme Wagyu from northern Australia and Akaushi beef from HeartBrand Ranch in Texas round out the selection.
The bar's Single Barrel Collection features 12 RPM single barrels, ranging from bourbons and ryes to tequilas, chosen from small-batch and independent distillers. Richard Hanauer, the group's operational partner, steers the wine programs. The wine list earned a Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence in 2015, and bottles from Château d'Yquem and Chave Hermitage appear among the featured producers.
