The story
Prime & Provisions is a Chicago steakhouse at 222 N. LaSalle St, and it received a Michelin Recommended distinction in 2026. The restaurant sits where LaSalle Street meets Wacker Drive, serving traditional steakhouse cuisine built around hand-cut beef.
Executive Chef Partner Joseph Rizza worked with DineAmic Hospitality's David Rekhson and Luke Stoioff for months testing dry-aging methods. The beef ages in a 500 square-foot room lined with Himalayan rock salt. Steaks are seared in a 1,200-degree broiler and served on a sizzling plate with sea salt and Wisconsin grass-fed butter. The menu also includes a 34oz Tomahawk, Dover sole, and A-5 Japanese Wagyu from Shiga, Kagawa and Hokkaido.
The restaurant spans 12,000 square feet across the ground floor and a second-floor dining area. Its design draws on early 1900s supper clubs, with a timeless feel. The wine program earned a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence in 2023. The website notes brief renovations to the bar and main dining room, while private events remain open for inquiries.
