Lucia Restaurant & Bar

Seasonal Californian cooking with a French lean at Bernardus Lodge in Carmel Valley Village, with a Michelin Recommended listing and a deep wine cellar.

The story

Lucia Restaurant & Bar, Carmel Valley Village | Seasonal Californian Dining

Lucia Restaurant & Bar serves seasonal Californian cooking at 415 Carmel Valley Road in Carmel Valley Village. It is Michelin Recommended for 2026.

A wine wall and a tree-trunk table

A gleaming wine storage wall leads into the dining room. Seating includes a communal table hewn from a massive tree, tables over the patio and booths with metal mesh curtains. The backlit bar at the far end pours gin martinis and original drinks built on house-made syrups, herbs, mezcal and chartreuse.

Nightly menu, deep cellar

Chef Christian Ojeda changes the dinner menu nightly. The seasonal fare leans French, and Forbes Travel Guide awarded it Four Stars in 2026. Michael Marcy, food and beverage director at Bernardus Lodge, curates a list of some 15,000 wine options. Groups of ten can reserve The Cellar, a private room ringed by prized bottles.
