The story
The Polo Lounge, at 9641 Sunset Boulevard in Beverly Hills, serves American cuisine with an Italian edge inside The Beverly Hills Hotel. Forbes Travel Guide named it Recommended in 2026.
The American kitchen leans Italian in places, and the specials board rewards a close read. Dutch apple pancakes and tortilla soup have stayed on the menu for decades. Sunday brunch adds almond-crusted French toast and corned beef hash, served with live jazz. Wine Spectator gave the list its Best of Award of Excellence in 2009.
A candy-striped ceiling runs through the dining room, once called Hollywood's commissary. Power booths sit near the action, while alcoves suit quieter dinners, and director Pepe De Anda knows which seat suits which table. Outside, the patio is framed by palm trees and flowers. A pianist plays at lunch and dinner.
