The story
The Warwick serves modern British cooking at Harbury Lane, Bishop's Tachbrook, on the edge of Royal Leamington Spa. The kitchen holds three AA Rosettes for 2026, and the Good Food Guide lists it among its Readers Recommend picks for the same year.
Stu Deeley, winner of MasterChef: The Professionals 2019, returned to the hotel after an earlier stint here. His cooking has moved back toward the classical side of his career. Reviewers describe it as innovative and carefully executed, with close attention to ingredients. Many of them are grown in the hotel's own kitchen garden.
A crab, butternut squash and pecorino tart comes with smoked pumpkin seed. Classic chicken liver parfait is served with brioche. One reviewer praised monkfish that was perfectly timed, with a light touch of heat and bright greens. Beef rump cap arrives with slow-cooked ox cheek and purées of Jerusalem artichoke and pickled pear.
The building is ivy-clad and set in well-kept gardens, including a Grade II-listed rose garden. The dining room is wood-panelled. Guests also have access to a spa and an indoor swimming pool. The venue offers a private room, semi-private dining and a chef's table.
An eight-course taster can be paired with wine. Diners who choose the fixed-price carte can ask the sommelier for advice. The Good Food Guide notes that the wine list is still developing.
