The story
Caffè Rojano is a Mediterranean restaurant at 9 Mill Square in Padstow, awarded two AA Rosettes in 2026 for culinary excellence. It sits a short walk from the harbour, in an eighteenth-century building.
The kitchen sends out seasonal small plates, dayboat fish and organic meat cooked over fire. Hand-stretched Neapolitan-style pizzas and house-made pasta share the à la carte with burgers. The flavours follow the Mediterranean, built on local, seasonal ingredients. Dessert has its own legend here: the Whoopsy Splunker soft serve.
Paul and Emma took over the building in 2011, their first venture after opening Paul Ainsworth at No6. The Michelin Guide lists Caffè Rojano as Recommended for 2026. The Italian-leaning menu and relaxed, family-friendly room give it a different pace from its sibling.
Breakfast starts the day, and tea, coffee and cake are available to take away. Separate menus cover children, vegetarian and vegan diners, and gluten and dairy free needs. The pizzas are baked in a Gozney oven, and a click and collect service lets you take them home.
