The story
The Victoria is a modern British restaurant and village pub at High Street, Oxshott, Surrey, KT22 0JR, and holds 3 AA Rosettes (2026).
The menu moves between pub classics and more composed plates. The Good Food Guide (2026) names the superb fish with triple-cooked chips, and Herdwick lamb rump with caramelised sweetbreads, morels and broad beans. Slow-cooked cauliflower with goat's curd and kale is another option for those who skip meat. The kitchen sources from local producers, and the website names Surrey Hills Butchers and Surrey Hills Deli among its suppliers.
Inside, the room is smart but understated, with plenty of wood, log fires and heritage shades. Locals often come to the bar for pints and nibbles, while the restaurant suits a longer meal. The beer garden opens from May to September. Sunday lunch fills weeks ahead, so book early, and children are welcome throughout.
