The story
The Belgian Arms, a modern British kitchen on Holyport Street, Holyport, Maidenhead, received a 1 Rosette Award for Culinary Excellence from AA Rosettes in 2026.
The menus change four times a year and lean on local produce where possible. Pub classics run through the day, with more ambitious cooking at lunch and after 6pm. Regulars single out the Sunday roast, especially the pork from a local farm, which The Good Food Guide calls incredibly succulent.
In winter, guests sit by the open fire. In summer, the garden beside the village pond, shaded by willow trees, takes over. The building has stood for over 200 years, and it was renamed during the First World War to honour local residents who served in Belgium. The wine list is a point of pride, with bottles chosen to suit everyday meals and special evenings alike.
