The story
TOWN is a Modern British restaurant at 26-29 Drury Lane in Covent Garden, London, and it holds a Michelin Recommended listing for 2026. Stevie Parle's latest opening pairs regenerative farming and British produce with ingredient-first cooking.
Olly Pierrepont is executive chef, running a menu built around whole-carcass butchery and prime produce, some of it brought up from Kent by Parle himself. The Good Food Guide (rated Good in 2026) calls the kitchen sure-footed. The menu also has sections for Town Cows, vegan dishes and desserts.
Snacks come first, and the potato sourdough arrives with a pot of gravy for dunking. Reviewers singled out butterflied day boat sea bass with anchovy and rosemary sauce, and a curry of cod, clams and mussels with ghee flatbread. Morello cherry clafoutis finishes the meal. A quick lunch of snacks plus two or three courses is a sensible way in.
The dining room leans into retro 1960s polish, with cream cord and chrome cantilever chairs, oxblood tiled columns and David Mellor cutlery. Press quotes compare it to The Wolseley. At TOWN BAR, Kevin Armstrong of Satan's Whiskers has written a short list of classics, originals and lower ABV drinks, and four beers are on tap. The wine list opens at £38 a bottle.
