The story
Norma is a Sicilian Italian restaurant at 8 Charlotte Street in London's Fitzrovia, and it holds two AA Rosettes for 2026, with a Michelin Recommended listing the same year. The kitchen cooks the food of Sicily, with the Moorish influences of the island running through the menus. The restaurant sits in a Georgian townhouse a short walk from Tottenham Court Road.
Freshly made pasta anchors the menu. The rigatoni alla Norma, with tomato, aubergine and ricotta salata, is one of the dishes to order. Seafood and shared plates feature strongly, from seared tuna with harissa honey to glazed black cod with marsala and chestnuts. On weekdays, pre-theatre dining offers two courses for £25 between noon and 5:30pm.
The ground floor dining room sits beneath a glass atrium. Upstairs, a cocktail bar suits an aperitivo before dinner. In warmer months the terrace serves spritzes and small plates on Charlotte Street. The house also has a private dining room for up to 14 guests.
