The story
NORD, at 100 Old Hall Street in Liverpool, serves a seasonal modern Scandinavian kitchen built on Northern produce, and it holds a 2026 Michelin Guide recommendation alongside two AA Rosettes.
Executive Chef Daniel Heffy, a Liverpool native, describes his style as Travelled British. Before returning home to open NORD with GSG Hospitality, he cooked in Stockholm at Frantzén and then as Head Chef at Adam/Albin. The kitchen buys from local suppliers. Wards Fish in Birkenhead supplies the fish and seafood, and Caterite in Cockermouth provides the meat.
The seasonal Chef's Menu is a tasting format priced at £110 per person, and the kitchen tailors it to the produce of the moment. Recent dishes have included scallop with pork cheek, poached pear and lemon thyme, and a lamb Barnsley chop with sauce Bourguignon. Fish is sourced wild and native from day boats. For a shorter meal, the prix fixe offers two or three courses at £38 or £45, with five choices in each course.
Each dish is cooked to order, so the restaurant asks guests to allow at least 90 minutes at the table.
