The story

Deacon's Bank, Chapel-en-le-Frith: Modern British Restaurant with Michelin Recommended 2026

Deacon's Bank is a Modern British restaurant at 9 Market Street, Chapel-en-le-Frith, in the High Peak, and it holds a Michelin Recommended listing for 2026.

Cooking built on Derbyshire meat

Head Chef Leo Harvey runs the kitchen and co-owns the business with partner Harrison, who manages the front of house. Leo has more than two decades of cooking behind him and started here as sous chef before his promotion to head chef. The beef, pork and lamb come from under five miles away in the Derbyshire Hills, and the rest of the produce is sourced from across the UK with traceability on each item.

Drinks and the Chef's Table

Wine is sold by the glass thanks to a BERMAR preservation system, so guests can taste widely across the list. The cocktail list runs to more than 30 drinks, including mocktails and a dessert selection. Guests who want a closer view can book the Chef's Table, with front-row seats to watch the team prepare the tasting menu.
